Wicket
Cricket club management

All the admin in one place.
Complete visibility, with permission.

Fixtures, availability, selection, match fees, the club’s money and the committee’s own business, in one club account. Each post keeps its own part and gets its own login.

  • × A committee split the work up, so the records split with it. Five officers, five files, each kept a different way.
  • × A post changes hands at the annual general meeting and the file goes with the person who kept it, so the loss is one section a year rather than all of it at once.
  • × Nobody hands the whole spreadsheet over, because the whole spreadsheet is not everybody’s business.

Wicket does not take anybody’s section off them. Each post keeps its own part and gets its own login, and it all sits in the club’s account rather than in five personal files. The treasurer sees Finance and not the squad notes. The captain sees selection and not the cash book. A post changing hands means somebody is added, not somebody starting from scratch.

The four things a club has nowhere else to put

  • Every fixture, and who to ring about it: Play-Cricket records a friendly perfectly well once it is arranged. The awkward bit is arranging it, when the opposition contacts that make it easy live in one person’s phone. Wicket takes every fixture you play and keeps the contact book against the club. Enter the opposition’s contact once and it shows on every future game against that side, carried between seasons and between whoever holds the job
  • The committee’s own business: agenda, minutes and what was agreed, plus action points that each carry an owner and a done tick. Committee only, and never on a player’s link
  • Match fees, per player, all season: the fee follows the pick, so nobody is charged for a game they did not play. The junior rate applies on its own. Cash, bank transfer and card land in one running balance per player
  • The club’s cash book: money in, money out and the net position for any season, expenses with the receipt attached from a phone, bank statement import to reconcile, and the whole thing out as CSV whenever the treasurer asks

The rest of the job, in the same account

  • Availability: each player gets their own private link and taps available or not available from any phone. No app, no account, no password. Watch the list fill up across all your teams
  • Team selection: pick the side from the confirmed-available list. Ability ratings and batting or bowling styles stay with the people whose role carries selection
  • Squad register: phone numbers, junior flags, emergency contacts, safeguarding consent and league registration, so you know who is eligible before you name the side
  • Standing checklists: pre-season jobs, ground work, affiliation tasks. Each item is owned by a committee post rather than by a name, so somebody standing down does not orphan their tasks
  • Fixture planning: a season grid you fill in Sunday by Sunday, or import a CSV, or add your club’s own Play-Cricket site ID and API key and pull a season in one go. The link is read only: fixtures come in, nothing goes back out
  • Club website: fixtures, results, officers, sponsors and news on a public page under your own club name. Everything that could identify a person is off until you switch it on, and under-18s are never named
  • Your records, out whenever you want: one button downloads everything the club keeps here as a folder of spreadsheets, and it keeps working even if you stop paying
  • Multi-team: run your 1sts, 2nds, 3rds, Sunday, junior and women’s sides from a single squad: shared players, separate fixtures, one subscription

Common questions

Anything else? Use the chat button in the corner, or email david@wicket.club.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. While the launch offer runs there is nothing to pay until 31 December 2026. You enter your card when you sign up, Stripe charges nothing until then, and you can cancel any time before it. The demo above needs none of that: click "Take the Tour" and explore the full app straight away, no sign-up and no card.

How much does Wicket cost?

One plan, £20 a month or £200 a year, and everything is in it however many sides you run. The public club website is an optional extra at £7.50 a month or £75 a year. Annual billing saves you two months on both. The first 50 clubs pay half for the plan, for life, using code FOUNDING50 at checkout. You can cancel at any time.

Do players need to download an app?

No. Each player gets a personal web link. They tap YES or NO on availability from their phone without creating an account or remembering a password. It works on any browser, on any device.

Can Wicket sync with Play-Cricket?

Yes, once you connect it. Your club puts its own Play-Cricket site ID and API key into Settings, which you get from Play-Cricket under your club's settings, and Wicket then pulls a whole season of fixtures in one go so you are not entering them twice. The link is read-only: fixtures come in, nothing goes back out to Play-Cricket. Play-Cricket carries your league programme, so friendlies and midweek games are added in Wicket by hand or by CSV.

Can players pay match fees online?

Yes. Add your club's own Stripe account in Settings and a player can pay by card straight from the personal link they already use for availability. No account and no password. Cash and bank transfers are recorded alongside, so every payment lands in the same season balance. The money goes to your club's Stripe account, not ours.

Can I run multiple teams?

Yes, and it is included. Your 1sts, 2nds, Sunday, junior and women's sides all share one squad with separate fixtures per team. Players can be picked across multiple XIs in the same week. If a side plays at a different ground, give that team its own home venue and everyone gets sent to the right place.

What if I'm not ready to subscribe?

No pressure. The demo is open whenever you want to come back. When you're ready, subscribe from inside the app. Nothing is payable until 31 December 2026. You can also register your interest and we'll be in touch.
